Since 1991
The
European Habitats Forum (EHF) is a group of NGO networks that provide
input and advice to DG Environment and EU Member State Nature
Directors, particularly relating to the implementation of the Birds and
Habitats Directives and the establishment of the Natura 2000 network.
The EHF meets with DG Environment of the European Commission twice a
year and has one seat in the co-ordination group for biodiversity and
nature, a group that meets 2 to 3 times a year and consists of the
European Commission, Member States, EEA and other stakeholders. The EHF
facilitates, through these meetings, communication between DG
Environment and European nature conservation NGOs. Members of the EHF: - A Rocha
